Taking place towards the end of this month, the Inman Park Festival features tours of historic homes, a street parade, food, kids activities, music, dance, and an arts and crafts market.
On April 27, 28, and 29 the festival will have a tour of historic homes and buildings in Atlanta. This year, tours of the Inman Park Methodist Church, The Carriage House, and several Victorian style private homes are scheduled.
The Inman Park Parade takes place on April 28, at 2:00 pm It begins on Euclid and Edgewood Streets.
The parade has the Seed and Feed Marching Abominables (a marching band), and the Precision Case Drill Team. It features costumes, floats, food, and items on sale before ending at Austin Avenue.
The Kids Zone has many activities for younger visitors, such as storytelling, yoga, a circus, pets, and variety shows.
There will be three stages of live musical performances, with classic rock, blues, jazz, R & B, and country to enjoy. An arts and crafts market has sculpture, photography, crafts, and art, while the street market has 250 vendors with crafts, antiques, clothing, and merchandise for sale.
Food vendors and local restaurants will be serve pizza, sandwiches, barbecue, funnel cakes, ice cream, burgers, fries, pulled pork, brisket, soft drinks, beer, and wine.
The event, which has been running since the 1970s, is open 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on April 28 and 29, with the first day April 27 running from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm.
