During the holiday season, the Atlantic Children’s Museum will celebrate different holidays with special activities and programs for children. They have programs on Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.
On December 7 and 8 celebrate Hanukkah from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with theater, movement, stories, and music. Children and parents will sing and dance, perform science experiments, see a science show, and participate in arts and crafts. Classes are scheduled every half hour. On Dec 8 at 3 pm they will have a cooking class Eat a Georgia Rainbow.
On December 14 and 15 the museum will celebrate Las Posadas a nine-day Mexican celebration. It will run from 11 am – 4:30 pm. There will be dance performances, stories, a science show, arts and crafts, cooking class, and interactive science bar.
On December 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 pm the museum will celebrate Christmas. It will have a puppet show, Christmas stories, music, and movement, a science show, interactive science display, arts and crafts sessions, and cooking class.
Celebrate Kwanzaa on December 28 and 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They will have stories, a science show, cooking class on Sunday, interactive science displays, arts and craft classes, and hands on projects. Atlanta has printers that can offer poster printing for special events like this.
Registration is required for classes and the holiday celebrations. Classes are every half hour. Atlanta Children’s Museum has vending machines with healthy snacks available. It is located at 275 Olympic Park Drive NW.
