The American Heart Association helps millions of Americans who suffer from heart disease. Their goal is to reduce heart disease, and risk of strokes and they continue to raise funds to fight the disease. Its nationwide Heart Walk events help them achieve fundraising goals and in September Atlanta will play host to one of their walks.
The Heart Walks are one of the leading events hosted by the American Heart association and a key fundraising event. The events are an opportunity for local businesses to participate and assist with fundraising goals as vendors are allowed to come to the events to provide Promotional Products and provide information on health and wellness.
In line with the goals of the American Heart Association, the events promote awareness and encourage Americans to move towards healthier lifestyles. The association also sets goals to improve patient care and protect the future by advocating healthier eating habits for children to prevent obesity, and minimize the risk for later development of high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol.
The Heart Walk events are a fun event for organizations, businesses and families to come together to support healthy living and prevent heart disease. Cardiovascular diseases cause more fatalities than any other disease so prevention is key to saving lives.
The Atlanta Heart Walk will be held on September 24th at Centennial Olympic Park. Vendor setup begins at 6:00am, with festivities beginning at 7:00am. The opening ceremonies will be at 8:00am and the 5K walk begins at 8:30
