The High Museum of Art in Atlanta will host art tours, classes, music, and a holiday market for adults and children over the coming months.
This museum was founded in 1905 by the Atlanta Art Association, and in 1983 a new building was built thanks to grant money from Coca-Cola and fundraising by the local community.
The Atlanta Beltline Mural Tour is on November 3 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Participants will see new outdoor murals in their outdoor gallery. Tours are free only to museum members and guests.
November Second Sunday will be on November 10 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm. This features art activities, tours, performances, and special exhibits, free of charge to all visitors.
November Homeschool Day will take place on November 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and is for children 6-12 years and 13-18 years. Science in European Art: Molecules to Masterpieces is the program focus. Children will tour the European art collection and learn how artists used scientific knowledge in their work. Registration is required to participate.
November Friday Jazz will be held on November 15 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, hosted by Jamal Ahmad from Jazz 91.9. It features music, refreshments, and art, and is free with museum admission.
On November 29 and 30, the Holiday Artisan Market will be held from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Local artisans will be selling jewelry, Christmas decorations, toys, textiles, home goods, and more. Atlanta has printing services that design T-Shirts, Mugs, keyrings, and Promotional Products for events like this one, which again is free with admission.
