Train show pulls into station for enthusiasts

The 11th annual Tampa Model Train Show and Sale is taking place for two days this June. It is a presentation of Golden Spoke Enterprises.

The show has much to offer fans and collectors of model trains. Some models by the best known manufacturers such as Lionel will be on display and there will be several educational clinics. There will be nine large layouts by groups such as Plant City N Track, the Sweetwater Club and the Gulfcoast Garden Railroaders. Kids can enjoy trips on a ride on train and marvel at the creations of the Greater Florida Lego Train Club.

There are expected to be over 300 tables set up by vendors from all over the country who will be selling a variety of models, accessories, layouts and antique trains.

This event should attract train enthusiasts from all over the area, including nearby Plant City. Organizers may decide to contact local printing companies to provide advertising materials such as Flyers and Posters to be displayed throughout the community.

The Tampa Model Train Show and Sale will be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds from June 7 to 8. Tickets are $8 for two days or $20 for early admission; children under the age of 12 get in free. To find out more about this annual show, contact Alan Altman at 813-949-7197.
