The Hillsborough County Fair is to take place over two weekends in October, getting locals in the spirit of the season.
The fair will feature all of the things one would traditionally find at an agricultural fair, including livestock exhibits, a horse show, and home and garden competitions. It also features a carnival midway, games, a ranch rodeo, a Mexican rodeo, and antique tractor displays.
Some other activities taking place over the will be a firefighter show, Robinson's racing pigs, a child and baby pageant, a demolition derby and the Tactical Titan 5K obstacle course. In addition, visitors can enter the Western Wear contest, watch a swine sale, or take part in the Spotlight talent competition.
The 2014 Harvest Awards luncheon will be held during the fair as well, in honor of those who have made a lasting impression on the community.
Brochure printers in the area may have been asked to create a booklet to inform the public about all the events taking place at the fair. This would then be distributed all over the area, including Plant City.
The Hillsborough County Fair is being held at the Fairgrounds in Dover from October 23 to 26 and from October 30 to November 2. Admission costs $7 for adults and $5 for students. To get more information about what is planned for the fair, contact Janet Aversa at 813-737-3247.
