Things look up at annual festival

The Sun 'n Fun International Fly-in and Expo is taking place for six days this April in Lakeland.

The main event will, of course, be the air shows featuring such groups as the Breitling Jet Team and the USAF Thunderbirds, but there is also set to be a night air show.

A car show will amuse those who prefer wheels to wings, and diversions can also be found with the Sun 40 Sprint, musical entertainment, and an Aerospace Educators’ Workshop. In addition, there is a Kid Zone, a balloon launch, and short flights.

One event taking place during the expo will be the 2nd annual Dinner with Legends. This is a benefit for Project Stratos and the Aerospace Center for Excellence. Guests will have a red carpet entrance, a cocktail reception, and a silent auction. Some of the legends who will be honored during the event will be Jessica Cox, Francis Gary Powers Jr., and Col. Charles McGee. Tickets range in price from $450 to $650 each.

Fans of aviation from all over the area, including nearby Plant City, will likely want to attend this event. To provide them with all the information they need, organizers may invest in flyer printing services.
