Plant City to tee off at fundraiser

The Plant City Greater Chamber of Commerce, The South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation, and the local chapter of the Kiwanis Club will soon be the hosts for an event that will help to keep kids healthy.

The Club at Eaglebrooke in Lakeland has been selected to be the venue for the Children's Classic Golf Tournament, and the proceeds will be used to fund programming such as a local Back to School Health Fair Day and backpack giveaway.

The golf tourney will get started with late morning registration, and lunch will be served, courtesy of the event’s sponsors. The shotgun start will take place at 1:00 pm, and a dinner and awards presentation will follow the play. Everyone will receive special Corporate Gifts such as a sleeve of balls, potentially printed with the sponsor's Logo Design. The final date to sign up as a player is Friday, May 3.

Golf tournament fundraisers, through their popularity, can be helpful in raising awareness of a cause. Organizers often offer special perks to those businesses that provide financial support to such an activity.

This day of fun out in the fresh air and sun will be teeing off on Friday, May 31. The registration table will be open starting at 11:00 am, and its website provides further information about its sponsorship program.
