Blueberries are one of the crops grown in Florida, and the Plant City based Blueberry Festival will play homage to this small but tasty and nutritious fruit.
The management and staff at Keel Farms and Keel and Curley Winery will be celebrating the seasonal blueberry harvest with the Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival, and the fun will be spread out over five days. Many of the activities will be family friendly, and the public can choose from various check-in times.
The plans for the festivities will celebrate the role the blueberry crop plays in the area’s economy, and there will be lots of craft and food vendors on site. Everyone can spend some time making a harvest in the U-Pick, and wine, cider and beer will be on tap for the adults. Advance tickets are required, and only a limited number are available. Admission starts at $9.99, and each day will run from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm.
Harvest festivals are a tradition in many communities that include agriculture in their economic base. Businesses may wish to get involved by sponsoring the function, and the Logo Design of these companies may be added to the Promotional Products distributed to a function’s attendees.
This seasonal celebration will be taking place on April 8, 9, and 10, and it will return on April 15 and 16. Keel Farms and Winery, located at 5202 Thonotosassa Road in Plant City, will host the festivities.
