Plant City symposium celebrates the little things in life

Residents of Plant City can share their love of miniatures for a weekend filled with fun next summer.

The attendees at the 36th Annual Dollhouse and Miniatures Show and Sale will be treated to a four-day weekend that will be all about celebrating all things small. The schedule includes workshops, mixers and other activities, and the event will wrap up with a show and sale where they will be able to add to their own personal collections.

The agenda for the gathering will open with two days of workshops giving enthusiasts of all levels a chance to learn, and the next day will be dedicated to socializing and meeting others who enjoy miniatures. The theme for the day will be “Nifty Fifties Diner,” and preregistration is mandatory for this portion of the symposium.

Anyone who would like to be among the first to see the items on offer in the Show and Sale will be invited to purchase tickets for its preview evening, and the first 50 who do will receive free Corporate Gifts. Tickets for this portion of the weekend are $18 each and include admission to the Dollhouse and Miniatures show and Sale held the next day.

Lakeland Miniature Guild has made arrangements to host this special celebration of the little things in life from June 24 to 27, 2021. The community’s Hilton Garden Inn will be the location for the gathering.
