Plant City sale to spring into new season

Local gardeners itching to get started with another growing season may want to save the date for an area Spring Plant Sale.

The annuals, perennials and other plants that will be included in the pop-up sale hosted at the City of Lakeland Nursery will all be Florida-friendly, and specially chosen for the occasion. For safety reasons, those who would like to take advantage of the opportunity are asked to book their timeslot ahead of the date, and these will be 30 minutes each.

While people browse through the offerings during their allotted time, they will be able to gather plant selection advice from the Master Gardeners who have volunteered to be on hand for the day. Those who present their ticket will receive a free plant to take home. Credit cards, cash and Checks will all be accepted Forms of payment.

Many organizations that host events like this have had to adapt them due to COVID-19. One way a printing services company can lend a hand is by preparing printed lists of the item that will be on sale to distribute to the registrants ahead of time.
