Plant City park to host Hillsborough County Hiking Spree

The Hillsborough County Hiking Spree encourages area residents to get out and get active, and it will kick off with a special event this November.

This free event will offer the first hike of the season at the Edward Medard Conservation Park in Plant City, and there will be lots of fun on offer for its attendees. While it is being offered for free, there will be a small fee charged to use the venue’s parking area.

The day will see those who sign up enjoy a guided hike, as well as an orienteering workshop, so they can pick up map reading and compass skills. A medallion workshop is on the agenda, and everyone will learn how to make a tasty trail mix. Food vendors will be on site, and each attendee can craft their own custom walking stick, purchase gear branded with the Hiking Spree Logo Design, and meet others who are also interested.

Outdoor events may require specialized decor printing options, as they will need to be tough enough to withstand the weather. A poster printing company will be happy to help with this.

The Hillsborough County Hiking Spree Kickoff has been planned for Saturday, November 4th. It will begin at 9:00 am and continue on until 1:00 pm. Anyone who would like to sign up can add their name to the list now.
