Plant City park to host community celebration

Plant City has a long history of hosting fun seasonal celebrations, and one planned for the winter holidays will kick off with a special ceremony.

The community is set to mark the arrival of winter with its “Lights of Love 2020” event, and it’s an occasion that will benefit those in need of medical care in the local area. South Florida Baptist Hospital will be the recipient of the funds raised, and both businesses and individuals are welcome to get involved.

This free event is one to all, and it will see a 30-foot-tall live tree decorated with twinkling lights. Those who are interested can “purchase” one, and their donation will be passed along to the beneficiary of the festivities. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will pay a visit, and there will be plenty of live entertainment and lots of other fun. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, starting at $250.
