Many moms are responsible for preparing the family’s meals, but they will soon be treated to an event that will let others take over the kitchen.
Plant City families will be served a special brunch hosted at Publix Aprons® Cooking School in Lakeland, and the menu is filled with both traditional and contemporary fare. All mothers, whether they are moms, grandmas, mothers in law, or a favourite aunt are welcome, and when they leave for home, they will have both a full stomach and new recipes they can try at home.
During the class, the chefs will be preparing a variety of dishes, and the group will be walked through all the steps to make the food. Four courses will be covered, with the menu including everything from sweet corn panna cotta with pea puree and lump crab, to a brown butter and fig custard tart for dessert.
An activity like this offers an alternative to the typical Mother’s Day brunch. Providing each mom with a printed book of recipes they can take home with them is often appreciated by the guests, and these can be prepared for the function by a local printing services company.
The opportunity for Plant City moms to relax and let someone else do the food prep will take place on May 9. It will be hosted at Publix Cooking School located at 4730 Florida Avenue South in Lakeland.
