A weeklong online hummingbird class will begin as an event for Plant City residents next month.
The class will present several facts about hummingbirds that most people don’t know and will find fascinating.
The class will teach how to identify hummingbirds, their habitat and how migration occurs. Both the United States and Canada have unique hummingbirds to their regions that will be explored. The species has a distinct vocalization pattern, and participants will learn how to listen for it and what it means.
The specific behaviors of hummingbirds versus other birds is included in the class. Courtship rituals and mating seasons offer an interesting insight into the lives of these tiny creatures.
Hummingbirds are attracted to specific plants and are found only in the areas where the various types of plants grow. Their eating habits differ from many other types of birds.
Planning a community event that involves a class can be handled via circulation of Flyers. Flyer printing is a standard project handled by Print companies for a wide variety of activities.
The fees for the August 8 to 15 class are $19 for adults, $5 for children, and $40 per group. The class leader will discuss the expectations and code for class. Visit the class information via Facebook, where the instructor’s information can be found and registration can be set up.
