Plant City festival to have environmental theme

Plant City will be showing Mother Earth some love by hosting a community activity all about environmental stewardship.

Dubbed “Earth, Wind and Garden”, the festival planned for Plant City Commons Community Garden will welcome the public for an afternoon of fun, free of charge. The activity will take place outdoors, so everyone is reminded to dress for the weather.

The function will give a variety of small businesses that call the city home an opportunity to introduce themselves to potential new customers, and many may be handing out Promotional Products and other premiums. A selection of electric vehicles will be parked on site, and there will be special fun just for the kids.

Along with all the rest of the excitement, several food trucks have been invited to set up shop. A plant sale, live music, and education workshops that cover topics related to environmental stewardship will round out the celebration, and all are welcome.
