Plant City evening to prepare succulent dish gardens

Succulents are thick leaved plants that tend to do well when grown indoors, and a Plant City make-and-take dinner will see its attendees go home with a new green friend to care for.

Keel Farms has organized its Sips, Salsa and Succulents event for local plant lovers, and it will combine a meal at the taco bar with a planting workshop. Everything needed for the project will be provided, and at the end of the activity, the attendees can bring their mini garden home with them.

Everyone who registers for the evening will receive a special container as well as a potting soil mix. There will be tools supplied, and when the pots are ready, ticketholders will be given the plants to install. They can top this off with decorative stones and moss, and care tips will be shared as well. A brochure printing company can provide sheets of information so that participants in a session like this can give their plants continued care.

For dinner, guests can choose their fare from the taco bar, and several sides will be on offer as well. Beverages may be purchased to accompany the food.

Keel Farms will be sharing its love of succulents with ticketholders for this special event planned next Wednesday, November 29. It will open at 7:00 pm.
