Plant City’s wannabe green thumbs are welcome to be part of a workshop that will share some of the top horticultural tips, and registration is now open for the session.
During this four-hour event catering primarily to novice gardeners, an assortment of gardening topics will be covered. Both ornamental and edible horticulture will be included, and turf grass will also be included in the discussion.
The Master Gardeners and Extension agents who guide the learning will offer tips for edible gardening as well as lawn care and fertilization. Choosing and installing the right plant for a particular location will be revived, and shade landscaping is also on the agenda. The registrants are welcome to bring along samples of any plant disease or other issues they wold like to have reviewed by an expert, and a microscope will be available for anyone who would like a closer look.
Hosting a this sort of seminar can encourage community members to get growing, and a flyer printing company will be able to help market it to the area. These can be effective promotional tools that may also be very kind to an organizer’s bottom line.
The Hillsborough County Extension Office at 5339 County Road 579 in Seffener. It has been planned for September 19, and will start at 10:00 am.
