An upcoming Plant City area workshop may help to demystify the process of caring for houseplants.
A drop-in activity hosted at Seffner’s Kerby’s Nursery will explore the care and culture of a wide variety of indoor plants. Taking place indoors, it will teach the basics, and this can then be built upon when working with difficult species.
The session will introduce a variety of topics such as how light, drafts, and other factors can determine where a plant should be placed in a room. Watering and simple pest control techniques will be covered as well, and everyone will be able to take in a repotting demonstration so they can move their “green babies” to a new home when they outgrow their old one. At the end of the workshop, the attendees can ask any questions they have.
Hosting a learning session gives a business a chance to introduce itself to a new base of potential customers. Copies of any handouts needed can be obtained by contacting an area printing services company, which will also be able to supply a variety of Promotional Products to distribute.
Kerby’s Nursery in Seffner will be welcoming newbie home gardeners for this introduction to indoor horticulture this Saturday, April 30. It will begin at 11:00 am and advance registration is not required.
