Plant City sandwich lovers who would like to spend an afternoon sampling the taste treat that is the Cuban sandwich will be able to do so as part of a festive occasion to be held in Tampa this weekend.
More than 100 vendors have booked space in the upcoming Cuban Sandwich Festival, and the participating chefs will be going head to head as part of ‘Smackdown Sunday’. Contestants will be coming in from as far away as London and even South Korea, and general admission tickets are free for the public.
The activities on the agenda for this salute to the Cuban sandwich include live entertainment, a domino tournament, dance performances, and a variety of other offerings. Those who would like the ultimate event experience can choose a VIP pass, and these will entitle the bearer to enjoy some red carpet treatment in the VIP lounge where they can rub elbows with dignitaries and other special guests.
