The Rotary Community Appreciation Fun Day is taking place this weekend in Plant City. This annual event is presented by the Plant City Noon Rotary Club.
There will be plenty of activities taking place during the day that are likely to please the entire family, especially the kids.
There will be free food and drinks while supplies last, which will include hot dogs and cotton candy. Along with this will be lots of fun giveaways, and the first 500 children through the gates will receive a back-to-school bag that will be filled with samples and necessary supplies for the new academic year.
It is likely that most of the items inserted into the Bags given to young guests will be provided by Plant City businesses, and may include items such as school Calendars or moneysaving coupons.
Activities during the day will include bounce houses, a dunk tank, bungee jumping, and rock climbing walls. There are also set to be presentations by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Plant City Police Department, and Plant City Fire Rescue – perhaps accompanied by official vehicles.
The Rotary Community Appreciation Fun Day will be held at the Randy Larson Softball Complex on Saturday, August 5 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission is free. For more information about this event, contact Charles Harris at 813-365-0610.
