The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Cultural Art Festival in Plant City gets underway in just a few days
For over 30 years this festival has promoted diversity and awareness of African American history and issues.
The Improvement League in Plant City is the organizer of the special festival, which begins with an opening ceremony and an old school gala dress down.
Every year, the event has a street festival with retail vendors and food. It also has entertainment and live music, followed by the MLK Freedom Parade.
The Bing House Museum hosts Day of Service and Carefest. Volunteers are encouraged to donate some time by meeting between 8:00 am and 8:45 am on January 15 and 20 to donate time to community service projects.
The community breakfast will feature speaker Michael Green, who is president of Ground Guys and on the executive team with the Dwyer Group. It will be held on Sunday, January 14 at 7:30 am at the Trinkle Center, 106 Park Road.
The event celebrates the life of the iconic Dr. King and seeks to inspire others to live out his dream in their community. It will start on January 5 and continue until January 20.
Plant City printing companies can help nonprofit organizations, cultural organizations, or associations with graphic design for advertising materials.
