Family friendly festival teaches about science this summer

The Fly into Summer festival is taking place next month in nearby Lakeland. It is hosted by the Aerospace Center for Excellence on the Sun ‘n Fun Expo Campus.

The day will be filled with plenty of arts and crafts activities based on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). There will be a bounce house, a scavenger hunt, and two movie screenings. There will also be free Gelati Joes, refreshments for purchase, and the chance to win a drone.

In addition to all of the other activities, guests can enjoy free admission the permanent displays at the museum, which include many interactive exhibits, the Discovery Zone, and several airplanes on display including Howard Hughes personal aviation collection.

This will be a good event for those who are interested in aircraft and are curious to know about the science of aviation.

This event will likely draw families from all over the area, including Plant City. To help spread the word, organizers may invest in poster and flyer printing services.

The Fly into Summer festival will be held at the Florida Air Museum on June 11 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To get the most recent information about this event, and more details about planned activities, contact the Aerospace Center for Excellence at 863-644-2431.
