Exciting events for Plant City Commons Community Garden

The Plant City Commons Community Garden in Plant City, Florida plans on hosting several exciting events toward the end of October and November.

The first event that the community garden will be hosting is known as the Food Day Fest. Residents of Plant City and surrounding areas are invited to bring a non-GMO, plant-based dish to the event, their own eating utensils, plates, and cups so that they can take part in the local potluck gathering. This event will be taking place on October 29th at 6:00 p.m. and beverages will be provided for all those who attend.

The second event will be a Movie in the Garden. The movie that they will be playing is called “SEED: The Untold Story”. SEED: The Untold Story is a film that talks about the importance and the history of seeds, follows the lives of several passionate seed keepers, and discusses the current situations impacting seeds and the possible futures of food. This event will be taking place on November 12th at 7:30 p.m.

All events will be located at 2001 East Cherry Street at the south side of the Hillsborough Community College campus.
