Dog clubs gather in Florida this June

The Sunshine State Cluster of the American Kennel Club is taking place for four days this June.

There are expected to be more than 1,500 dogs and 198 breeds represented as they seek to compete for Best in Show. Several dog clubs from all over the state will be on hand, including the Greater Venice Dog Club, the Mid-Florida Dalmatian Club, and the St. Petersburg Dog Fanciers Association. Each will have a set time to compete in various trials and they will each be awarding best in shows in several categories. The public is welcome to play their part and, in addition to seeing the competition, they can also watch a variety of all-breed obedience trials.

This event will no doubt bring out a lot of dog lovers and competitors from all over the state, including from nearby Plant City. To make sure as many people as possible know about it, each club will likely be having their favorite local printing companies produce Flyers to be distributed to their members and in the community.

The Sunshine State Cluster will be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa from June 11 to 14 beginning at 8:00 am each day. Public admission tickets are $5 each. To find out more about this event, call 941-356-2038 or visit the American Kennel Club website.
