Annual festival returns to Hillsborough County

The Florida Strawberry Festival will be back in Plant City for nine days, beginning in just a couple of weeks.

There will be plenty of activities taking place during the festival, including a midway with carnival rides and games, agricultural exhibits, free entertainment, and a Kiddie Korral. Vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise. Several contests will be held for the competitive visitor, including strawberry stemming, strawberry shortcake eating, and strawberry mashed potato pie. Visitors can also view an art show.

There will be ticketed concerts featuring some major stars, including Bobby Vinton, Alabama, and Mel Tillis. Another performer, the Happy Together Tour, features members of the Turtles and Three Dog Night. There will also be a selection of special days, such as senior citizens’ day and free kids' day.

The Florida Strawberry Festival will take place at the Festival Grounds in Plant City from February 26 to March 8, running from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
