Annual event showcases all types of vehicles

‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ is taking place next month, presented by the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.

Anyone in the community can register their vehicles or airplanes free of charge until February 26. This will also include remote control models, model trains and classic and exotic cars.

Airplane rides will be offered for children between the ages of 8 and 17 with the EAA Young Eagles Program. Boy Scouts will also have the opportunity to earn aviation merit badges.

Visitors will have the chance to get up close to the displayed vehicles, as well as try computer flight simulators. The Kids’ Play Area will have lots of activities for the children, including "touch a truck" and K-9 demonstrations.

First responders will be on hand to demonstrate their jobs and provide information to the public, there will be musical entertainment provided by a DJ, and vendors will be selling a variety of merchandise.

Vendor fees are $55 for a 10 x 10-foot space.

No doubt Plant City banner printing firms will be contacted to provide Banners to highlight certain areas.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles will be held at Plant City Airport on February 27 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Admission is free. To learn more about planned events, contact the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce at 813-754-3707.
