The Flagler Auditorium presents John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party” in mid-June.
The event is a recreation of the 1959 tour of Jiles Perry Richardson (known as The Big Bopper), Buddy Holly, and Ritchie Valens. This was to be their last tour, as all three performers died in a plane crash on their way to the next venue. The Winter Dance Party is the only live show that is endorsed by the Valens, Richardson, and Holly estates.
John Mueller is an accomplished songwriter and is best known for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in the Broadway musical “Buddy… the Buddy Holly Story.”
Winter Dance Party started in 1999 as a tribute to the three iconic performers. Since then, it has been performed in the United States and Canada, and on the TVs of over two million people. The critically acclaimed show has performed with several symphonies and Grammy award winners. This year’s show features Ray Anthony and Linwood Sasser as Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper, respectively. Mike Acosta, a Grammy award-winning saxophonist, will also perform along with a four-piece band.
Graphic design is an effective and creative way for event organizers to provide information about concerts or events like these.
Tickets range from $29 to $49 based on seating. The show will take place on Friday, June 17, at 7:00 pm. The Flagler Auditorium is at 55500 East Highway 100 in Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Those interested in attending can call 386-437-7547.
