City Historian to hold presentation on life before Palm Coast

The Palm Coast Historical Society and Museum will organize a presentation in July on early Floridian history.

Before Palm Coast - Life in Early Florida is a program where people can learn about local history from a subject expert. The presentation will be led by Preston Zepp, the City of Palm Coast’s Official Historian. Zepp became the city’s historian last February. He is one of the founding members of the Kings Road Historic District and works with Flagler County as a Master Site Files Administrator. Zepp also serves on the board of Heritage Crossroads.

The discussion on early Florida history is part of an ongoing series by the Palm Coast Historical Society. The 2026 Speaker Series is a collection of presentations by local history experts that runs from May to November. Some of the featured speakers in the series include Patrick Juliano, Caleb Hathaway, and Cynthia Dodziek. The talks are held at local venues like Palm Coast City Hall and the Palm Coast Community Center.

The talk on Florida history with Preston Zepp will be held on July 25th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. There is no cost to attend the informative event, though guests may register for Zepp’s talk in advance. Zepp will give another presentation in the 2026 Speaker Series on November 14th. Local history organizations that hold lectures like this can use flyer printing to get more people interested in their educational experiences.
