Health foundation to organize charity race in Palm Coast

The AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation will hold an event next weekend to raise money for breast cancer prevention.

The Pink Army 5K and 1 Mile Pet Friendly Fun Walk is a yearly event where people can compete in a race while helping AdventHealth protect women from breast cancer. The proceeds raised at the event will support those in Flagler County by paying for early detection screenings, cancer diagnostic testing, and cancer-related educational programs. Prizes for the race will go to the top performers in each age category, and teams with the most enthusiasm will be recognized during the event.

The AdventHealth Palm Coast Foundation is a local organization that organizes events to collect proceeds that benefit families in the Flagler County community. There are many specific areas people can donate to through the group, including capital projects, emergency assistance funds, and healthcare scholarships. The organization also uses the money to fund cardiac care for patients. Some of the events held by the group include the Changing Seasons Symposium and the Shades of Hope 5K.

The race and pet fun walk will be held next Sunday, October 4 from 7:45 am to 11:00 am. People can pick up their packets for the races as early as Wednesday, September 30 at the Palm Coast Community Center. The cost to join the events will be $40 per person. Those who host races like this that benefit the community can use printing services to make ads for their events.
