Boxi Park invites Floridians to beat the heat at the 15th staging of the Run Nona 5K and Nemours Kids Run.
Boxi Park Lake Nona is perhaps Orlando’s top location for food, greenery, relaxation, and fun. The outdoor meeting spot is constructed entirely out of recycled shipping containers.
This year’s event will feature activities for the entire family. Those interested in participating will experience the beauty of Lake Nona during the run/walk. There will be splash zones along the route to keep runners cool. Children and younger runners can have fun at the Kids’ Zone or Nemours Kids’ Run. The event will culminate at the Beacon where participants can come together to celebrate or enjoy food and drinks prepared by the Boxi Park culinary team.
Entry fees start at $10 for kids and $35 for adults. Participants are encouraged to register online. Teams can compete for a prize of $500 for any charity. All participants will receive a finisher medal and T-shirt. The races use chip timing, so awards will be presented to the top 5K runners. The top male and female runners from Lake Nona will receive a special award.
