New neighborhood park opens in Orlando

Signal Hill Park in Orlando, which is the first of the city parks to be renovated, is now open.

The Families, Parks and Recreation Department of Orlando is planning to renovate and improve 11 parks in the city over the next two years. The completion of this project highlights the continued investment of the city in neighborhood parks and its commitment to creating welcoming and vibrant spaces where children and families can play and gather.

The new features of the park include modern playground equipment, two new play areas (one designed specifically for children between two and five years of age and the other for those between five and twelve), new benches and shaded seating areas for families, and outdoor fitness stations and exercise equipment. Local Print shops can help spread the word about such updates and their benefits for children and families with mailers, Flyers, and Posters hung throughout a neighborhood.

While the park was under construction, temporary access to the school and basketball courts was granted by Rolling Hills Elementary School. To show its appreciation for this access, students from this school are the first to experience the new playground.

Signal Hill Park is in the Pine Hills/Rosemont residential area and is easily accessible from Watch Hill Road, on which it is located. It is a small community park, ideal for casual outdoor fitness, playtime for children, and outings for local families.
