Opera Orlando presents The Magic Flute - one of the most extraordinary operas written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – next month.
The Magic Flute first premiered in Vienna, Austria in 1791. It is an opera with two acts and is a singspiel, which includes both spoken and sung dialogue. The mystical and comedic opera follows Prince Tamino as he goes on a dangerous journey to find himself. The Prince takes the audience to Ozymandia where he is chased by a dragon.
He is rescued by three women who force him to rescue Pamina, the daughter of an enchantress – The Queen of the Night, from Sarastro. They arm Tamino with magic bells and a magic flute.
The production lasts for two hours and will be sung in German, with English dialogue and supertitles. Tickets start from $19 for upper tier third upper level, increasing to $129 for orchestra main floor. Flyer printing is an affordable and eye-catching way for organizers to provide information about an event such as this.
