The Healthcare Privacy Compliance Academy of the Health Care Compliance Association will be held in Orlando in December.
This Academy is designed for professionals who have some experience and knowledge of compliance. It is ideal for practitioners looking for a greater understanding of compliance management techniques that are effective in a healthcare setting. This Academy will be three days long and provide learning opportunities on the latest regulations, developments, and news related to healthcare and privacy.
There will be a limited number of people who will be able to attend the Academy to encourage engagement with other attendees and the faculty, create an active learning environment so that key principles can be improved upon and practiced, and provide meaningful discussions.
Those who attend will be able to earn all the education units of the Compliance Certification Board that are needed to take the Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance exam, which is optional and offered on the last day. Those who qualify for this exam need to pay a separate fee and fill out an application.
Attendees will receive their course materials on the first day. This provides an opportunity for local Print shops to create such materials and organize them in binders for the attendees.
