Orlando welcomes pass to the past renaissance festival

The Renaissance Festival is coming to Orlando for the fourth straight year.

Featuring a marketplace, entertainment, food court, and medieval games, this year’s festival is expected to attract between 5000 to 20,000 visitors and 100-500 exhibitors. Focusing strongly on enrichment and education, the festival welcomes students of all ages for an experience of competition, immersive learning, play, and performance

A vast array of both handmade and exotic wares created by talented artisans, ranging from gorgeous jewelry to leather products, will be available for purchase in the bustling marketplace. When vendors attend events like this, they often take a number of Business Cards with them for attendees to pick up.

The Kids’ Realm section has been created just for children, complete with games, giant bubbles with fairy helpers, storytime, and themed activities. There will also be a feast in the food court, brew served at the Four Brothers Tavern, opportunities to test participant’s skills at archery, and living chess matches.

The lineup of entertainment includes a variety of Celtic comedians including Empty Hats, Blackenshear, and Hopeless Romantic Guido Libido. An interactive Celtic musical experience by Woodlynd will be performed with traditional, classical, and Celtic harp instrumentals.

The Trash or Treasure show will feature hilarious recounts of old stories for kids. In addition, Hips of Destruction from South Florida will perform authentic Romani dances, while combining swords, fire, incredible dance routines, accompanied by amazing live music.

Pass to the Past will be held from Friday- Sunday, December 6- 8 from 9 am to 6 pm on 3401 South Hiawassee Road in Orlando.
