Brooke Hill has been named Orlando Film Commissioner.
Hill will oversee the industry development, production services, and strategy of the Orlando Film Commission to expand, attract, and retain commercial, television, film, and digital media projects across the Orlando region. She has led the daily operations of the Commission for the past five years. Business card printing services are often called upon when such appointments are announced.
The Orlando Film Commission is a program of the Orlando Economic Partnership. It is the primary resource for production in the region. The Commission connects producers with experienced vendors and crew; provides consulting on locations and scouting support; coordinates with partners in the city and county on permits and logistics; and promotes the production assets of the region to domestic and international decision-makers.
During the last fiscal year, the Orlando Film Commission created 512 cast jobs and 1,867 crew jobs; had a reported local economic impact of $16.3 million; and got 166 film permits for the jurisdiction.
The President and CEO of the Orlando Economic Partnership, Tim Giuliani, said that the relationships Hill has in the industry and her proven leadership position the city for continued growth in television, film, and digital production. Hill expressed her honor in serving in this position to continue the work which the team has accomplished over the past five years.
