Orlando to hold technology convention

Orlando residents can attend Otronicon this January to experience new technologies at the Orlando Science Center.

Otronicon is a convention where people can interact with emerging technologies from a variety of industries. There will be numerous organizations that attendees can interact with during the event, such as Talon Simulations, Theory Studios, and the UCF Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy.

Guests can participate in activities like flying an aircraft, riding rollercoasters, and using a surgical robot for an operation. Exhibitors who have booths at educational conventions such as this can use brochure printing to create informational packets for their visitors.

The event will feature several workshops and presentations from professionals in STEM-related industries. Kate Edwards will be the keynote speaker for this year's Otronicon. Attendees can participate in video game competitions during the convention, including games like Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, and Ultra Street Fighter. Those interested in joining the competitive event can pay $5.

Otronicon will be held from January 17 to 20. Tickets for the convention will cost $21 for adults and $19 for students and seniors. Those who are members of the Orlando Science Center can attend the event free of charge.

Otronicon will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Businesses that would like to support the festival can become sponsors, which can provide benefits like logo recognition and VIP access.
