Orlando chefs invited to ACF Culinary Arts Competition

The 22nd year of an exciting culinary contest is offering an opportunity for chefs and bakers of every level to get their talents noticed.

All competitions at the event are American Culinary Federation (ACF) approved, but a select group of competitions is open to any interested chef that wishes to compete. A win at this type of event is a fantastic addition to Business Cards, resumes, and restaurant websites. The open competitions include the Wedding Cake competition, the Centerpiece, the Duck Signature Recipe, the “Taste of Elegance” Pork Signature Recipe and the Farm to Table Vegetarian Signature Recipe.

Each contest offers two awards in the tasting arena. They include a “People’s Choice” award, for the dish chosen by the most attendees sampling dishes and the “Judge’s Choice” award. Local executive chefs, as well as a number of local celebrities, will be the judges for the event.

The competition takes place on September 8th and 9th during the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show at the Orange County Convention Center located at 9800 International Drive in Orlando. The events will run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on both days. The student wedding cake registration fee is $50, and all other competitions have a $100 registration fee.
