Hemophilia conference comes to Orlando
The XXXII International Congress of the World Federation of Hemophilia for 2106 will be coming to Orlando next month.
It is being presented by the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH). According to Mr. Alain Weill, President of WFH, and Mr. Jorge de la Riva, Chair of the Board of the NHF, it is expected that it will be the biggest one in the history of the WFH, with 125 countries represented by over 6,000 attendees.
The Congress is dedicated to the study of hemophilia. Topics covered at the Congress will include rare factor deficiencies, von Willebrand disease, and inherited platelet disorders. This is the first time in over 25 years that the Congress has been held in the United States, thereby affording a unique opportunity for chapters of the NHF, providers of healthcare in the United States, and patients and their families to come together in the community of hemophilia.
Attendees will also include orthopedic surgeons, pediatricians, hematologists, nurses, and social workers among others, who are part of the comprehensive team of healthcare professionals who treat people with hemophilia.
There will be workshops, exhibits, symposia, and presentation of posters created by poster printing companies, as well as many networking opportunities during the several social events at the Congress.
The Congress will take place from July 24 through July 28.
