Heart songstress Ann Wilson to perform in Orlando
Ann Wilson, best known for her work in the legendary rock band Heart, will be performing in Orlando this June as part of a mini-tour throughout the state.
Called “Rite of June: An Evening With Ann Wilson,” the concert will feature songs from Wilson’s time in Heart as well as her solo projects. The tour follows four single releases by Wilson in the last year, including April’s “Black Wing.” Wilson was the lead singer of Heart, performing alongside her sister Nancy, with the band achieving success through songs like “Magic Man”, “Crazy on You,” and “Barracuda.” Heart sold over 35 million albums was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
The mini-tour will also feature stops to Florida locations Clearwater, St. Augustine, and Fort Meyers. Last Thursday, April 29, Wilson performed the national anthem at the NFL Draft as part of the build-up. The concert will be one of the first musical events held at the Hard Rock venue at full capacity in over a year. Concerts like this, often advertised through means like poster printing and local radio, can be popular even for musicians who had their biggest hits decades ago.
Rite of June: An Evening with Ann Wilson will come to the Orlando Hard Rock Live on the evening of Thursday, June 24.
