The first American Girl store will be opening at the Florida Mall in Orlando this month. It will features the premium dolls, Books, magazines, accessories, and clothing that the company manufactures.
The store will be 15,000 square feet in size and have many other features, including a Doll Hair salon and Creativi-tees boutique (at which T-Shirts can be designed by girls for their dolls), as well as a bistro with 60 seats. The store will be part of a new building, over 44,000 square feet in size, and will be next to the new Zara flagship store, which will have an area of just over 29,000 square feet.
The executive vice president of American Girl, Jean McKenzie, said in a prepared statement that the company is very happy to debut this new store in Orlando and enable fans of American Girl to have a place that has been especially designed for them.
The Florida Mall is the largest mall in Central Florida at 1.8m square feet. It has been an attraction not for the locals with its many new offerings that keep them spending in the surrounding area, but for tourists as well.
