A combination of botanical displays and Lego sculptures help to show children and their parents how all things in nature work together.
Leu Gardens and artist Sean Kenny have created an unusual exhibition that is designed to please both adults and children. During the daylong event, all participants can learn more about the connections in nature by exploring the park and taking part in a variety of crafts and activities. In addition, there will also be an insect zoo and many other surprises.
The beautiful blooms and interesting sculptures make it possible for families to take photos perfect for poster printing and scrapbooks. Tour the gardens and learn more about the 50-acre site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The gardens are conveniently located near downtown Orlando and were donated to the city in 1961 by the owners and developers of the land.
Participants can bring bag lunches for a picnic on the patio. A gift shop is onsite for anyone who wishes to purchase a memento of their visit. The Nature Day exhibition takes place on January 27 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The cost is a garden admission ticket which is $10 per adult and $5 per child. There is no admission charge for Leu Members. Leu Gardens is located at 920 North Forest Avenue in Orlando. Advance tickets can be purchased online at the Leu Gardens website.
