The Patients’ Choice recognition program recently announced that the Compassionate Doctor Certification Award for 2012 has been given to Dr. Christopher Walker of Orlando - an obstetrician, gynecologist, and robotic surgeon - for the fifth year in a row.
Every year, on web sites such as Patients’ Choice, UCompareHealthCare, and Vitals, close to 100 million patients across the United States provide their feedback about their experiences and relationships with their doctors. Compassionate Doctor recognition is given only to those doctors who have near perfect scores with regard to their bedside manner and other overall characteristics. In 2012, only 3% of the 870,000 doctors in the United States were accorded this recognition.
The American Registry seconded the honor of Dr. Walker for the Patients’ Choice Award and then added him to The Registry of Business Excellence with a special and exclusive plaque.
According to Dr. Walker, who will no doubt be arranging a new business card printing order to publicize his latest award, he is very honored by this recognition and grateful that his patients took the time to rate him on one of the websites, with positive reviews following as well.
The University of the West Indies is where Dr. Walker received his medical degree, while his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology was done at the University of Kansas Medical Center. It was here that he was taught by Professor Kermit Krantz - a urogynecologist who is well-known around the world - which has enabled him to provide robotic surgery for complicated gynecological disorders
