Critical funding granted to South Florida train route

The Orlando-to-Miami train recently received approval by the Florida Development Finance Commission for $1.75bn in state funding.

The All Aboard Florida train route will borrow an additional $1.75 bn at a tax-exempt and low-interest rate as part of the August 5 decision.

The diesel-powered train will be 235 miles long and will run at 125mph, so that the time to travel between the two cities will take about three hours. The train will run 32 passenger carriers a day in addition to the 14 freight trains that also use the tracks.

Although there were some concerns about this, president of All Aboard Florida, Mike Reininger, explained that the All Aboard Florida would be clear of intersections within 45 seconds, which is less time than one waits at a traffic light.

As a result, the request by All Aboard Florida for tax-exempt status was approved by the state, as the train will serve the public in various ways and provide an economic boost to the region.

The cost for one-way fares will be about $100. In addition, apartments, office space, retail shops, and restaurants may be developed around the three South Florida stations, which will also bring in revenue to the train service.

The use of flyer printing companies is one way that All Aboard Florida can promote the train route once it is completed as an alternative to road transport.
