Bite30 promotion to highlight Orlando restaurants
The annual Bite30 promotion will be taking place this summer, highlighting the breadth and diversity of Orlando’s cuisine.
The campaign will feature dozens of local restaurants providing $30 prix fixe menus, with each menu including three courses. It provides a chance for food-lovers to sample some of the area’s fine dining spots. There will also be a website hosted by Orlando Weekly where diners can browse the list of menus and compare offerings. Last year, this website saw over 175,000 views, suggesting the broader interest in the concept. Diners are also encouraged to capture pictures of their food and drink and share them through social media using the hashtag #bite30.
Some of the restaurants who have participated in past years’ Bite30 are Maxine’s on Shine, which last year offered a choice of six entrees, Chroma Modern Restaurant+Bar and Café Tutu Tango. Bite30 was designed as a month-long version of the “restaurant week” events that are popular in many cities. Such events, often promoted through tools like flyer printing and promotional pens, can highlight both the top names and hidden gems of a city’s food scene. Past events have suggested that menu diversity and freshness are what make a major impact with Bite60 diners.
The 2020 edition of Bite30 will take place between July 15 and August 16. Participating restaurants will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.
