Astronauts and attractions highlight KSC calendar
Two special events will be taking place this month at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, just due east of Orlando.
The first is the ‘Meet an Astronaut’ with Bob Springer, one of the few handpicked individuals that join the Astronaut Corps at NASA. This Astronaut Encounter allows time for discussion so guests can ask questions, bring their cameras, and also get an autograph from the astronaut.
Lunch with the astronaut is also available for an additional fee. Here, Springer will provide a personal presentation and allow for an open question and answer session.
Springer will be at the Kennedy Space Center from this Saturday, November 21, through November 24.
Also at the Center later this month will be the exclusive half-day experience where guests can discover the feeling of launching into space aboard the shuttle along with a veteran astronaut. On the second level of the Apollo/Saturn V Center, there is also a catered buffet lunch as well as a tour of the center. This event will run from November 27 through November 29.
Other attractions at the Center include a new 3D film in the IMAX theater about the future of space explorations, and an exhibit about the journey to Mars that features a range of interactive games and simulations.
To promote these activities and attractions, the Center could work with brochure printers to create a booklet for visitors, explaining all of the exhibits and events in detail.
