Fans of Latin pop star duo Mau y Ricky will have something to cheer about this fall; the duo was recently announced as the kings of Miami’s upcoming Ocho Calle Livestream Festival, upholding a family honour that began 28 years ago.
The Venezuelan brothers will follow in the example of their superstar father, Ricardo Montaner, who was crowned king of the festival in 1992.
Ocho Calle, touted as the nation’s largest Latin music festival, typically takes place in the streets of Little Havana but was cancelled in March and rescheduled to a livestream event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will feature a three-hour interactive livestream of musicians, comedians, social media influencers, and other celebrities. Through an interactive element, audiences will have chances to get involved and win prizes, which provides the perfect opportunity for businesses to give away Promotional Products.
The proceeds raised by Calle Ocho will support the Kiwanis of Little Havana’s efforts to help underserved families with programs such as back-to-school aid and college scholarships. The online show is free, but viewers are encouraged to donate $8 or more before or during the livestream.
Mau y Ricky will take the virtual stage October 4. Viewers can watch via digital platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch, as well as broadcast channels such as ORA TV, BronxNet, and VIVALIVE TV.
