Miami festival to celebrate Cuban snack once again

The 8th Annual Croqueta Palooza will return to Miami next month in a fully-fledged in-person format, following last year’s change to a drive-through version due to the pandemic.

Croqueta Palooza was created by food blogger Burger Beast to share the delights of the croqueta, a fried Cuban snack food usually filled with a type of meat. The festival fits in with the mission of the Burger Beast Food Blog, which is to enlighten people about all the hidden food gems of the Miami and South Florida area.

The palooza will take place outdoors at Magic City Casino where various Cuban cafes and restaurants will be offering their traditional or unique takes on croquetas. Some participating vendors include CAO Bakery, Dos Croquetas, Masa Craft, and Doce Provisions. There will also be other Cuban and Latin food featured, such as Cuban sandwiches from Sanguiche de Miami and plantain chips from Chifles Chips. MIA Beer Company, Brugal Rum, and Tripping Animals Brewing Company will also be there providing adult refreshments.

Outdoor food festivals often use colorful Banners to decorate designated venues, which may bring organizers to Print shops specializing in banner printing.

The Croqueta Palooza is slated for December 4 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Magic City Casino is located at 450 Northwest 37th Avenue, Miami. Tickets are $75, which includes unlimited food and drink.
