Miami event to take aim at breast cancer

Breast cancer can strike both men and women, and a locally planned, volunteer-driven event will give residents of Miami a chance to have fun while tackling this disease.

Members of the community who attend ‘The Day of Caring for Breast Cancer Awareness’ will walk away informed about the latest developments in breast cancer detection, treatment and prevention. Advice about what to do after a diagnosis will also be included in the day, and everyone is encouraged to participate.

The day, which is intended to be both educational and fun, will offer seminars, displays, and other activities. A gourmet lunch will be served, and there will also be a fashion show featuring both men and women who have battled breast cancer. The organizers explained that their hope is for everyone who attends to leave feeling informed, empowered and ready to take charge of their health.

An event like this can draw a large crowd of people who are looking for information and other resources. If the companies and organizations that participate visit a printing services provider beforehand, they will have lots of materials ready to distribute to the crowd.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport and Convention Center will be hosting this experience on May 4. It will begin at 7:30 am, and ticket prices start at $67.
