Miami residents looking for a healthy way to greet the holidays should note that the Run Run Rudolph Virtual 5K Run is happening this December.
The event is hosted by the Virtual Run Challenge, which is a company based in Vero Beach, Florida. Its mission is to encourage people to exercise on their own terms, while simultaneously supporting charitable causes through virtual run events. The Run Run Rudolph Virtual 5K Run will allow participants to run or walk 3.1 miles when and where they choose. After registering, people will be able to record their mileage online throughout December and into the beginning of January.
Registration for the event will include a race bib, reindeer antlers, Rudolph running buff, and finisher medal with flashing nose. Runners may also choose to add on a long-sleeved finisher shirt for $25. Those interested are encouraged to sign up early as there are only 1,500 spots available.
The virtual 5K is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1 to Saturday, January 9, 2021. Tickets can be purchased from either eventbrite.com or thevirtualrunchallenge.com for $29 to $39. Early registration, which allows participants to save 15% using the discount code EARLY15, ends today (November 1). Packets containing race information and goodies will be mailed out December 1, so event organizers may need to utilize Stationery printers to prepare these packets.
